Transcend DrivePro car video recorders launched in India

Information, Inc, a well-known Taiwanese manufacturer of digital storage devices, has launched its DrivePro Car Video Recorder series in India. The product line-up includes DrivePro 50, DrivePro 100, DrivePro 200, DrivePro 220 and DrivePro 520.

The new car video recorders can capture videos in Full HD (1080p) resolution at 30 frames per second. They have cameras featuring 130-degree to 160-degree wide angle lenses and large apertures. The Drive Pro video recorders can also record videos for 30 seconds more using in-built battery. The included G-sensor emergency recording function protects video files from getting erased.

The recorded videos can be previewed on the devices' 2.4-inch LCD screen. It is also possible to transfer these files to PCs. On other devices, the videos can be viewed by downloading the DrivePro PC Tool for Windows. A quick snapshot feature to capture images is also included.

The range includes cameras with collision warning and driving assistance, rear-facing in-car lenses and mobile app with Wi-Fi connectivity. The recorders are available either with a suction mount or an adhesive mount, and can be purchased on Amazon India.

Automobile companies have been making strides in technology lately. Car maker Jaguar Land Rover recently said it will test autonomous and connected car technology in 100-plus research vehicles over the next 4 years.
